Hey peoples, Arlan here, so this is a pretty sweet thing, I'm in the bonnies of Fort McMurray and guess whoes comming this way...founder of Metro Ministries NY Pastor Bill Willson freak yeah I'm so excited and what are the odds? He's comming for an afternoon this Sat Nov 29 to speak with all the children programs in churches here in Fort Mc. I'm still in debate weather to go to Metro this March 09 or in Sept 09, maybe this could be an encourager? Either way I better go there....yeah I really better! However does it really matter if I go in March or in Sept? I'm in some deep debate about this, but anyways I'm stoked to see/hear him, so stoked!!!! Thought I'd share my excitement, this is life.

hey all...
please please pray. Lewis and I have been struggling through some really crappy stuff and in the midst of all of this the stress is so heavy at times that i get stomach pains and i am just not in a good place (neither is he). please pray for protection and for healing and for strength and that the enemy will not have victory in this. thanks guys, i really love you and miss you...

Prayer Needed!

I just sent a package off to Andrew in South Africa. There is a phenomenal piece of art in it (Thanks Josh for that contribution) and some fun things for his kids. But AFTER i paid for it and shipped it off (as an afterthought) the lady said most of the time packages get stolen before they make it to their destinations in South Africa! WHAT! NOoOoOoOo! These things are for God's kids in Africa! And Josh's picture is a one of the kind masterpiece and can not be stolen. So it seems a bit silly, but can you help me and petition the Lord to keep that package safe (there's actualy 2) and delivered safely to Andrew! Thanks Family!

Gas Station Craziness

Just a Quick Note!

Hey all! So I am so blessed to be staying overnight in a beautiful house overlooking the African hills. A friend of mine is house sitting for some of her friends here and invited me to come stay the night because it is my day off. So bonus! Wireless internet, so I thought I would take this opp. to say Hello, let you know that things here are going quite well now, I am adjusting finally and learning lots. Also thought I would throw you some pics. Here you go, miss you all and Canada (but not the winter!)

Hey guys, it's been a long time and I would rather not write my paper right now. Quick synopsis:

Worked at camp as Head Male. It was good, but stressful. Ultimately: stretching experience and God worked, so all is well. Came to Briercrest and was not pumped at all, but God softened my heart and I've come to appreciate the beauty of this place, the incredible people I'm surrounded by, and this opportunity to learn and grow. How could I ever get tired of a sky like that?

Drove to BC on mod break with Jon, Jordan, Kevin (we're all in a quad) and Dave Clark in a 91' Buick with over 300 000 km on it that we borrowed from a girl who essentially knew of us because we did Kaleo, and so decided to be generous (we got connections, baby).
So we stopped in Calgary and visited Alex and Jahnaya, stayed at the Badke residence and hung out with K-6. It was sweet to be back there, remembering the things God had taught us, seeing God working in a new community...very nifty. Now we're all plugging away back at B-crest. God is good, and I am learning to see his grace in everything.

Hello From NYC!

Yes, that's right! and it's steve not scotty!
Through my position at my camp i got the opportunity to come out to new york to check out metro ministry. And its been amazing!
Yesterday i went to revolution, the youth program, today i went on visitation with Little Kim, and i've got lots more planned for me to do.
The kims are taking SUCH good care of me, and its wonderful to see them and scotty, oh dear dear scotty! the interns are super, and its so cool learning about metro and everything they do. I am learning because my camp is wanting to start up a saturday program and i'll be directing that.
Anyways, thought id let you know about what im up to! Hope all is going well for you, keep on letting us all know on here!

Pumpkin Carving

Thought I would share a bit of fun we had the other night with you all. My roommate and I decided to have a pumpkin night with her nephew and another little boy that she was babysitting called Elijah. We had such a blast! Neither of us had done it since we were kids...isn't our pumpkin sooo cute!?

I would appreciate your continued prayers as we come to the end of our season in volleyball. We have only a few games left, and it truly has been a rough road. I would love to see us finish well.

The Island Tour!!!

Hello all! Figured this was the best way to get the word out to all of your Islanders. On the 21-23 I'm planning on coming over to the island to see all of you/and for a break away! So here's what I'm thinking...take the ferry to Vic, Josh are you available on Friday? Then I'll stay at camp...visit lake cow sometime on Saturday?? And Ellie and Badkes are you guys around on Saturday or Sunday?

I've never been as home sick as now

Hello my beautiful family!!!
I hope you are all doing well! This post is going to be short but very important. I am asking for your prayer for my family. I found out this morning that my Grandpa died unexpectedly. This has been a shock to all of us and because of that I just know that is was God calling His son home. Please pray for peace for my family especially my dad as he is already under alot of stress, please pray that this will help him to realize that he needs to slow down. Please also pray for my extremal emotionally unstable cuzin. Please pray that she dosnt try some sort of stunt to get attention. She has lived on the same farm as my grandpa her whole life and seen him pretty much everyday.
I love you all so stinking much and thank you so much for the prayers.
