Pumpkin Carving

Thought I would share a bit of fun we had the other night with you all. My roommate and I decided to have a pumpkin night with her nephew and another little boy that she was babysitting called Elijah. We had such a blast! Neither of us had done it since we were kids...isn't our pumpkin sooo cute!?

I would appreciate your continued prayers as we come to the end of our season in volleyball. We have only a few games left, and it truly has been a rough road. I would love to see us finish well.

Much love,
Amanda

"If you find physical pleasure in earthly experiences, use the occasion to praise God for these gifts. Turn your love not on the pleasures but toward their Maker.

You are matchless, O Lord.
So our praise of You must rise above our humanity.
Magnificent is Your power.
Your wisdom has no limits.

You awake in us a delight at praising You."
-St. Augustine (from Confessions)

Amanda!!! Thank-you for the pics! And wow, that's quite the quote from St. Augustine. Our praise of You must rise about our humanity...WOW that's huge.

I may have to question your pumpkin carving skills though...looks like the pumpkins got an early easter bunny face goin on=) just kidding! Love it!!!!!!
Any plans for coming to the Seattle area over Christmas at all??

Actually was thinking I may end up there for the holidays...we should catch up if I do!

And I think my pumpkin is just perfect!
I love that you pulled that part out of the quote; it's the part that caught my attention most.
