Hey All,

Well as you all will probably remember very vividly, there was an extremely beautiful sunset the other night. I just wanted to pass along a picture that you may like as a desktop image. Hope you all enjoy!

Here We Go!

Meet Kaleo 2007/08!! We have 26 students this year, plus our Interns Melissa and Jordan plus Amanda and Jim, and it has been a wonderful start. In these two days Kaleo has been welcomed, moved in, introduced, orientated, covered in paint, prayed for, pulled behind fast boats, connected with local churches and trained in the challenge course. Whew! Kaleo 5 (as in "Gimme a Kaleo 5!") is an incredible gift that we can't wait to unwrap. More to follow...

Is this weird for you too???

So I find it really weird to read all these past posts and connect who wrote them to someone I met. Like Catherine; her picture has a huge JESSIC[A] over it and it messes me up. I'm sorry in advance if I ever mix you two up.

hey

hey were here now! ya! - mmm hot tub

Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I'm leaving on a jet plane. And I'm going to go meet you all. Exciting? I think so.

Saturday, September 8, 2007

Hello

Hey kaleo 5 hows is it? So I'm Arlan and I am feeling good about kaleo this year. I'm originally from Newton Ontario which is close to Kitchener Waterloo area. However this past year I've been working in B.C. as me and Sid (close friend) road tripped it to Kamloops After high school. After 7 months in Kamloops I moved down to Abbotsford, it was there that I was introduced to come to camp Qwanoes and throughout this summer herd about the kaleo program. There are other programs similar like Quest at CBC in Abbotsford and Summit College in Huntsville Ontario that I've also wanted to do. It's been a hard and long decision, but I'm pretty sure God wants me at kaleo this year so looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday Sept 12,07.

What! 4 days till you come!

YEY! Your Comming to Camp So soon! (I like the other picture Jordan, but I htink this one is a bit more appropiate to my mood right now! AHHHHH! hahah) We are amazingly excited to see all of you here (well actualy there, I'm at home still for 1 more day)! I hope all your last minute things are going well! I should mesnion that Coast mountain Sport has a back-pack sale on right now, buy one get one 50% off incase any of you haven't got your backpacks yet and know someone else who wants to buy one! It's a nice way to save some cash! We are already praying for you guys and encourage you to be in the Word in prep for this crazzy year! This upcomming week is the start of something good! God is so good! Be Blessed Guys!

Just Over A Week!!

It took me forever to post on here, mostly because I couldn't figure out how! Then I accidently posted the pic below, when I thought I was putting it on my profile, so I figured I better find out how to write something to go with it.

So...I'm Catherine Duncan, I'm 17, almost 18, and live in Peterborough, ON. I just graduated from highschool, and spent my summer working at a berry farm, travelling to Florida with my family and counselling at a camp.

Jesus is my best friend and saviour. I grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ into my heart at around the age of four. As I grew up I just came to accept my faith as my own and grow closer to God, but I definately have a long way to go.

I'm super excited for Kaleo, and to meet all of you! Just over a week away!!!

Let Ze Adventure Begin!

Hey All,

Well it's your intrepidus male intern here. What does intrepidus mean? Who knows, but it sounds cool :) Actually it means fearless and adventurous. Ok so maybe I'm speaking a little highly of myself...

But I digress!

As it has been brought to my attention that it is coming down to the last week before our wonderful Kaleo adventure begins! Who here has a calendar with X's on it? I have to admit that I am beginning to get quite excited about what our first few adventures are going to be like. From our first meetings to the grand out trips to the dorm life to learning tons about life, God and this journey we're all on. I hope you all are taking the time to really relax and prepare yourselves for the great things ahead.

I myself just flew home last night to spend some nice quiet time
a my parents place  just outside the town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta. It's amazing how great it feels to be able to sit down, take a deep breath and just relax with a coffee and a warm blanket (ok that made me sound old!).  Yes Jim, I'm on a very smooth way down to relaxation!

This got me thinking, what is the one thing that you find that brings you relaxation? Is it a cup of tea or coffee? A favorite food? Hanging with your friends? Or maybe it's sitting watching the sun go down will sipping a coffee with friends while petting your cat? I'd love to hear what you all do to relax.

Well I am going to go back to relaxing! Have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing you all at Qwanoes in 9 days!
