Joel - good work with the new banner!
Well we have almost made it to the end of first semester, hard to believe. I was just talking to Jessica today about how it seems like forever ago that a bunch of us met waiting for the vans at the airport. But still it seems like these past 2 months have just zoomed by. We have grown so close, but I still feel like we still have so much more to learn about one another. Sometimes I sit and think, "Wow - look how far we have come." But then I get excited and think about how much more of a journey we are going to share with each other. Anyway, my whole point to all of this rambling is this - "We should cherish the time we have to grow together and not spend to much time thinking about how far the year has already progressed - but how much of the year we have left to be with each other." This is the time that we should (and are) growing deeper in our relationships with one another and growing closer as a community.
I think about this all as I am sitting in my room and a majority of the people have gone for reading break. As most of us are not together at this time, think about what you miss most about the Kaleo community and then when you get back - make sure you make the most of it the for rest of the year.
Have a great break, see you all in a few days (Me, Arls, Jess, Aimee, and Catherine will be protecting (maybe) your stuff from the operating thieves* until you get back)

Yahhhh well put Drewberries, we still have so much ahead of us. PS I miss everyone, but am having a sweeeeet time here at Scott's house!
frew, you're wonderful. haha, love the humor! well said. home is amazing. but i'll be seeing you all soon!
It's beautiful that you've had that realization, and almost funny because you should copy this post and paste it when you have 2 months left of Kaleo (You'll be saying the exact same thing). Cherish it, and above all live the Kaleo life so as to have no regrets. Kaleo means "I call / name / invite" and I'm only now realizing how fitting the name really is. You have been not just called, you've been invited. God has invited you on this journey, so don't waste it. God has thrown you a better party than you could ever imagine, don't spend the whole night sitting in the corner looking at your watch. Remember above all else: PEOPLE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAT PAPERS! Jimbad and your interns will kill me for that but it's so true, and if it comes down to growing deeping with someone or working on a paper, remember the credo "People are more important than papers" I love you and I won't even meet you until after Christmas.
Of course people are more important than papers - but Merrill Dyck is a people too! Thanks for the good words, Viktor!

Good call Bertram!! It's definitly weird being at home...even though it's home it seems so temporary right now. I'm forsure enjoying the long sleeps here but I can't wait to be back at camp and hanging with everyone. Did anyone else notice that the group didn't seem complete while Catherine was gone? I can't imagine what it's like there for you guys at camp!
Ya it is wierd not having any roomates or me and Arls being the only two in the hallway (besides Jordan and Dave). But we have been having lots of fun. We some of us went to Victoria yesterday and last night we hung out in the office and had kind of a Christmas party. But it still seems wierd... just wait till Christmas!!
