First time for a firstie.
Well hello all! While I have a little bit of time after I cleaned and vacuumed my office, I thought I would post a little thingy about myself - kind of a "this is me in a nutshell".
Well as you already know, I am working at Camp Qwanoes this summer as their photographer. This is my second year in doing so - as well it is only the second year for the position. As well, you know I have done Kaleo before, back in the day in 2003/04. Yes the first year of Kaleo :) Oh the times we had...
*cough* Ok, back on track. I'm from the land called Alberta, more specifically the area of Sylvan Lake. I grew up on a farm (yes we have cattle, no we don't have chickens). But lately I have lived in the land of "liquid sunshine" - British Columbia, more specifically the lower mainland. I've done 2 years working on my BA in Youth Work at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford.
Well there's not much more general to divulge. I pray you all have an amazing summer and I look forward to meeting you and going on crazy adventures :) It's going to be a wild year!
Before I go, I thought since I photograph a lot of camp I would post up some pics of what some of the landscape looks like.

Those are awesome pics! I can't wait! But yes, Chris is right, summer first to be excited about! Then Kaleo!
Awsome pictures Jordan!!! I found Chris twice!! Ahh so exicted to be at camp
prett much if you expect kaleo to look anything like that you'll be slightly dissappointed as those are all summer pictures, it is actually that green but the most common weather you'll see if the last two years are indicators at all is rain. And there are no concerts like that and everything looks desolate. However not to be a complete wet blancket it is still quite beautiful and I highly recomment taking the trail to the oint or for the less adventurous the waterfall.
Actually, you may find that if you can manage to get up early in the mornings, you may just find yourself at the easel of the Creator as He draws pictures for you in the sky...we may not get as much sunshine as I used to in California, but I tell you what...this past year God has really blessed me through the weather. Can't wait to share this place with you guys!
It's true, if you use the last year as an indicator the weather was aMAZING! And it's true, if you actually wake up early you can see some beautiful sunrises. Of course you can also stay up late and get to know some amazing people instead, both are quite wonderful options. Jordan you're going to have a blast, I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures from K-5, they're going to be amazing! Don't listen to Haws when he goes off like that, Camp with snow is a beauty that those who come in the summer will never know. Can't wait to see you guys again this summer (Amanda, Jordan, Chris D, etc.)! K-5 get pumped, it'll be better than you could ever imagine.
Man even just reading these comments gets me so excited!! Next year we're going to be living in that totally beautiful spot (Even if it rains it'll be beautiful, that pic with the dark sky and the rainbow was just taken last week!!) and we're going to be such a tight community, ahh man I can't wait! and we can get up early when there's going to be a sunrise, and stay up late getting to know each other when it's not. I like that plan=)=)
Can't wait to meet you all!
Hey I sai it was still beautiful Vik. I just don't like false advertising schemes. People should know to bring their raingear.
